The Bible tells us in Psalm 127:3 that “children are a gift from the Lord.” This God-given truth is vitally important to all of us. Both parents and volunteers play an essential and influential role in making God’s love real to these little ones. What better way can they learn of God’s love and care than when their physical and emotional needs are met through love, care, play, song and rocking? We try to provide safe, quiet, and gentle care while taking advantage of the opportunity to teach babies through association and feelings—feelings that later develop into concept and attitudes about God, church, and other people. It is our desire and goal to become an extension of your home, providing both quality care and a secure environment for your child.

We teach the "Firstlook" (Orange Curriculum) to this age group. We use a combination of small group and large group activities to teach these lessons. By the time children turn five, they should know three basic truths:
God Made Me.
God Loves Me.
Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever.
Parent Cue Cards provide parents with ideas to start faith-based conversations and put faith into action as a family. They are new each month and can be picked up from The Ark nursery or wall bins outside each classroom in JoyLand.
